This is the second time we've brought back a coffee from this producer and it might be even be better than memory serves. In the cup we're tasting a structured juiciness, stone fruits, and a tart sweetness reminiscent of passionfruit.
ABOUT THE FARM + REGION
Bekele operates his farms and drying stations with the help of his family in the Bensa district of Ethiopia. His son Beleteno, who graduated this year from Hawassa University with an economics degree, manages one of Bekele’s farms. Between his farm in Bombe and a smaller, 5 hectare farm in Kokose (with its own drying station), Bekele purchases cherry from more than 100 smallholders in the region.
